Domaine Lombard was established by Jean-Marie and Sylvette Lombard in 1981. In 2012 Philippe Sapet, who has a great passion for the world of wine, took over the domain. He has now passed on the responsibility for the estate to his daughter Pauline and her husband Jonathan. They are working hard to develop the estate and build a well-deserved great reputation for the wines.

The domaine is in Brézème, the southernmost appellation in the northern Rhône Valley, just 20 kilometers south of Saint -Peray and Cornas. Today the estate has 23 hectares of vineyards, all certified organic and from the 2021 vintage it will be biodynamic. Most of the vineyards are planted with Syrah and Serine, but they also have some Mourvèdre, Merlot, Viognier, Marsanne and Roussanne. The vineyards are situated on steep slopes, hillsides and terraces. The soil is mostly limestone marl and clay-limestone. Brézème is truly amazing, both the place and the wines. If you like wines from the Northern Rhone, Brézème will for sure be the best quality price ratio you can find.

All the wines from Domaine Lombard are spontaneously fermented, just lightly filtered and with low levels of sulfites added. La Tour Du Diable is the Grand Vin from the estate, coming from a small, old, terraced vineyard, just below the famous Tour.
